Batch-watermark videos without uploading the footage.

A watermark workflow should be predictable: the artwork lands in the same place, uses the same opacity, and remains readable across every deliverable. Polley Auto Overlay performs that repeatable work locally on a Windows computer.

Use case: client proofs, course videos, licensed previews, recurring shows, social batches

Keep the source files on your machine

Cloud watermark services require footage to leave the computer before processing begins. That may be inconvenient for large files and inappropriate for unreleased client work, internal training, private lessons, or licensed previews. A local desktop workflow avoids the upload stage entirely.

Polley Auto Overlay uses the files already stored on the Windows machine. You select the source videos, add the watermark artwork, inspect the composition, and render the finished copies locally. Originals are not modified.

A useful batch tool is not only faster. It makes every output follow the same branding decision.

Create one reusable watermark setup

1. Prepare the artwork

A transparent PNG works well for a static mark. Leave enough empty space around the artwork to avoid cramped edges, but do not include an oversized transparent canvas that makes placement harder to judge.

2. Choose a consistent screen position

Corner placement is common because it avoids the subject and central action. Polley Auto Overlay provides horizontal and vertical controls, scale, and opacity so the mark can fit the material rather than relying on a fixed preset.

3. Decide when it should appear

A watermark can remain visible for the complete video or occupy a selected range. Timing controls are useful when branding should arrive after an opening title or disappear before end credits.

4. Apply the setup to the batch

Once the overlay looks right, run the selected videos through the same configuration. Source audio stays intact, while the visual layer is composed into each exported file.

Pre-export quality checklist
  • Preview the watermark over bright and dark scenes.
  • Keep it clear of subtitles, faces, and platform interface areas.
  • Use enough opacity to identify the owner without obscuring the footage.
  • Check landscape, square, and vertical sources separately.
  • Confirm the output folder before starting a large batch.

Multiple overlays can also be stacked. For example, a persistent owner mark can sit beneath a short sponsor animation, with each layer carrying its own timing and placement.
