Use Modern for action games, platformers, shooters, racing games, and visually active footage. Use Retro when the video has dialog, cutscenes, or story pacing that matters.
A common starting point is 8 seconds minimum, 13 seconds target, and 29 seconds maximum. This gives you short gaming clips that are easier to reuse for Shorts and social posts.
Lower values create more cut points. This is useful when your gameplay has lots of movement, transitions, attacks, or quick camera changes.
