1. Choose the right profile for the game
Use Modern for
action games, platformers, shooters, racing games, and visually
active footage. Use
Retro
when the video has dialog, cutscenes, or story pacing that
matters.
-
2. Set clip length for short-form platforms
A common starting point is 8 seconds minimum, 13 seconds target,
and 29 seconds maximum. This gives you short gaming clips that
are easier to reuse for Shorts and social posts.
-
3. Adjust Scene Thresh for more highlight candidates
Lower values create more cut points. This is useful when your
gameplay has lots of movement, transitions, attacks, or quick
camera changes.
-
4. Import the full gameplay recording
Add a stream VOD, lets play, challenge run, match replay, or any
longer gameplay video that you want to repurpose into smaller
clips.
-
5. Select an export folder and generate clips
Pick your output folder, generate clips, and review the exported
results. You can quickly sort through the candidates and keep
the best gameplay moments.
-
6. Upload the best moments as highlights
Use the exported files for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram
Reels, gaming compilations, or channel promo clips.
